Madrid - Capital of Spain
Madrid is the Kindom of Spain’s Capital, there are many facts that show the presence of man in this zone since the prehistoric times, after the Romans and Muslims occuped this territory, and these last were who called this city Madrid. In ancient times was known as the Bear City and also ElMadroño, was became in Capital during the Kindom of Felipe II in 1561.
Later on Carlos III made great reforms in the city, and the people of Madrid had great performance in the Spain history, as the insurrection on May 2nd. of 1808 for the expulsion of Napoleon’s troops.
After the city growth dismeassured and greately during the 50’s & 60’s years, becoming in the bastion of industry, technology, culture and modernity.
There are many museum, as El Prado, Thyssen Bornemisza and the Art Center Sophia Queen, sited at Art Avenue, the single one over the world, because in its route there are three famous museum.
Madrid has an undefinely center zone, because the architectural style isn’t uniform, for this is very dificult to divide it by zones, but normally is divided for the same characteristics places.
