La Alhambra

Author: La Alhambra is located above Granada, and it was a palace, a citadel, fortress, and the home of the Nasrid sultans. On the banks of the River Darro, protected by mountains and surrounded by woods, the Alhambra has reddish tones ramparts and defensive towers, that house 2 main areas: the military area, or Alcazaba, that used to be the barracks of the royal guard, and the Medina or court city, location of the Nasrid Palaces and the remains of the houses of noblemen and commoners.
